PROGRAM STRUCTURE.
A complete 3-year, full-time program
YEAR 1
Master’s Degree in Continuing Education “Oral Surgery and Implantology” (60 ECTS)
1,500 hours (1,200 h of on-site work, 100 h of supervised work, 200 h of independent work)
Compulsory Master’s Thesis
One conference presentation required for graduation
YEAR 2 & 3
Master’s Degree in Continuing Education “Advanced Oral Surgery and Implantology” (120 ECTS)
3,000 hours (2,400 h face-to-face work, 200 h supervised work, 400 h autonomous work)
Compulsory Master’s Thesis
2 conference presentations and 1 published scientific article.
Languages and places: Teaching in Catalan, Spanish and English. Maximum 8 places/year. Bellvitge Campus.
REAL CLINICAL EXPERIENCE.
High clinical burden and diversity of cases.
High clinical workload and a wide variety of cases. Access to 5,000 interventions per year at the center. Rotations and surgical assistance at Sant Joan de Déu and Hospital Clínic

Can I start working on my doctoral thesis while I'm doing my Master's degree?
The Master’s program has a strong research component with several cutting-edge research lines. We actively encourage students to continue their academic careers and pursue a PhD, including the development and defense of their doctoral thesis. Students receive support from expert professors and researchers, as well as access to high-level academic and technological resources.
Will I be able to work while I do my Master's degree?
Students can combine the Master’s degree with a part-time job, as long as it does not interfere with their academic commitment. The program includes approximately two free half-days per week to help facilitate this balance.
Can I take the Master’s Degree in Advanced Oral Surgery and Implantology without having completed the Master’s Degree in Oral Surgery and Implantology?
No. It is essential to have successfully completed and passed the Master’s in Continuing Education Oral Surgery and Implantology in order to enroll in the Master’s in Continuing Education Advanced Oral Surgery and Implantology.
Will I do sinus lifts and bone regeneration with membranes?
Yes. Students will perform several sinus lift surgeries as well as bone regeneration procedures using membranes.
Will I attend conferences during the Master's degree?
Yes. Students are encouraged to attend conferences and to present papers or posters.
