The Master in Oral Surgery and Implantology is a program designed for graduates in Dentistry who want to specialize in oral surgery and implantology by combining academic rigor, state-of-the-art technology, and intensive clinical practice.

This training includes the first year of the Permanent Master’s in “Oral Surgery and Implantology” (60 ECTS) and two years of the Permanent Master’s in “Advanced Oral Surgery and Implantology” (120 ECTS), both full-time programs.

Directed by Prof. Dr. Eduard Valmaseda Castellón and coordinated by Prof. Dr. Rui Figueiredo, the Master in Oral Surgery and Implantology prepares highly competent professionals capable of integrating the latest technological advances into their practice and committed to ongoing scientific development. This approach ensures rigorous training adapted to the latest advances in the field and guarantees that graduates are prepared to face professional challenges with excellence.

The Master in Oral Surgery and Implantology is taught at the Bellvitge Campus of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Barcelona. With a maximum of 8 places available each year, the program is offered in Catalan, Spanish, and English, and supports flexible learning in an international academic environment.

We have trained more than 150 oral surgeons. Each year, more than 5,000 surgical procedures are performed at the UB Dental Hospital.

Our students complete clinical rotations with patients under the supervision of expert professionals.
